Reviews: Henry Jones, father of Indiana and played to perfection by Sean Connery, when the Nazi threatened to blow the head off of Elsa Schneider in exchange for the younger Dr. Jones (Ford) to give the diary that belonged to the elder Dr. Jones, when the elder said the she was a Nazi, but the younger didn't believe him and put the machine gun down. Elsa hugged the younger but also when for his pocket and retrieved the elders diary. The younger was stunned and, when she backed away from him, she said that "you should have believed your father (the elder Dr. Jones)."
When I was my son's age, I didn't listen to my father entirely either. True, when studying the Scriptures I had good backup, God, but other things I got wrong on and didn't realize it until now, when I am 55 years old! My son's are doing the same thing. My council they are ignoring until, perhaps, they get to my age. The 5th Commandment "Honor your father and mother" is where we all fall down until it is too late.
YET the elder must serve the younger because he is old and the younger is, well young. That means he is strong, vivacious. The elder has the knowledge, but the younger has the hutzpah!

Three years after he recovered The Ark of the Covenant. Jones recovered an artifact that he found as a kid, the Cross of Francisco De Coronado from treasure hunters. Now, Jones discovers the history of another biblical artifact called "The Holy Grail". He was also informed that his father, Henry Jones is missing. Jones has to find his father who is looking for the Grail. However, Jones will become involved in the search of the Holy Grail along with his father, as well as fighting the Nazis to reach it. |
