| Reviews: Sam Peckinpah, the director, usher in a new direction for bloody violence. Nowadays it looks tame, but back in 1969, when this film was released, every bullet hole splattered with oodles of blood. Good with the plot, and starring William Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Robert Ryan, even some from the “old days,” such as Edmond O’Brien. |
