Reviews: Nick Fury is director of S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peace keeping agency. The agency is a who's who of Marvel Super Heroes, with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When global security is threatened by Loki and his cohorts, Nick Fury and his team will need all their powers to save the world from disaster. --------------- Thus above is NOT a review nor even mine. So what did I think of the film?
Excellent!
First Capt. America, at somewhat the beginning of the film, says there is one God and He doesn't dress up. Bravo! Plus Capt. America is, I think, the leader of the Avengers or rather he gets his feet dirty telling his Avenger compatriots what to do in the heat of battle. That leaves Nick Fury still the "leader" because he brought the Avengers together.
Hmmm, Nick Fury as God, Capt. America as Christ -- or maybe Fury as Christ and Capt. America as some sort of preacher or pastor, telling the other Avengers -- which means us -- where to go when the battle gets tough. Yea, I like the second option. It makes more sense. Like Capt. America said at the beginning, God is, all humans are His handiwork and He will see to it that He receives the Glory.
Anyhoo, non-stop action and it all makes sense on each individual member of the Avengers crew. Plus the CGI is stupendous. When the Heli-carrier takes off, you actually believe a heli-carrier is taking off.
Oh, and the Banner and his alter-ego the Hulk, is the best yet by far (and I include Ang Lees version too, a film that I think is better than the critics give it).
Marvel is still making films, Ironman, Thor, Capt. America, I hope the Hulk, and it turns out that the director has a release date for another Avenger movie in 2015.
The Avengers is a winner. |
